Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the NoteFlow AI mobile application and related website at noteflowai.co.uk (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated by NoteFlow AI ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of a child, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian and accept these Terms on their behalf.

The Service is rated 4+ and is suitable for users of all ages. If you are under 13, you may use the Service only with the involvement and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under 13, you are responsible for the child's use of the Service and any in-app purchases they make.

If Apple's App Store age rating allows purchases without parental consent for your child's account, you remain responsible for managing those permissions via your device's parental controls.

• Accurate information: You must provide accurate, current information when creating your account, including a valid email address.
• Account security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at louie@noteflowai.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised use.
• One account per person: You may not create more than one account per person or share your account credentials with others.
• Account responsibility: You are responsible for all content recorded, uploaded, or generated through your account.

NoteFlow AI is an AI-powered piano learning application that converts audio (captured via your device microphone or uploaded) into falling-note piano tutorials. You can play along, earn experience points (XP), unlock note skins and backgrounds, and build your song library.

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee that audio conversion will be accurate, error-free, or uninterrupted. AI-generated notes may not perfectly match the original song, and results may vary based on audio quality and source.

The Service is free to download and use. Certain features, content, and cosmetic items (note skins, backgrounds, and other digital goods) may be offered through:

Billing: All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription renewals are charged automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

Cancelling: You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your device Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation does not refund the current active period — you retain access until the period ends.

Refunds: Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple per their refund policy. Contact Apple Support to request a refund. NoteFlow AI does not issue refunds directly.

You are responsible for any audio you record or upload. By submitting audio for processing, you confirm that:

• You have the right to use, reproduce, and process the audio you submit, including any copyrighted music, where permitted by law or licence.
• Your content is lawful and does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
• You grant us a licence to process the audio using our AI solely to generate piano notes for your use. We do not claim ownership of your audio.

Generated piano notes are for personal, educational use. You may not redistribute, sell, or publicly broadcast AI-generated note sequences derived from copyrighted audio.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or AI models used by the Service.
• Abuse, disrupt, or overload the Service's servers or infrastructure.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or fraudulently obtain virtual currency or items.
• Submit audio that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
• Sell, transfer, or trade virtual currency or account access outside the Service.

The NoteFlow AI app, including its design, features, AI models, artwork, and the "NoteFlow AI" name and logo, are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Virtual items, XP, and premium currency are licences, not property — you receive a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them within the Service for as long as your account is active.

You do not own your virtual currency or items in any real-world sense, and they cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for real money.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• Audio conversion will be accurate or suitable for your purpose.
• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
• Any generated piano notes will be a correct transcription of the source audio.

You use the Service at your own risk. Results are for educational and entertainment purposes and are not professional music tuition.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NoteFlow AI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if you breach these Terms or if we believe your activity is harmful to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately, and you may lose access to your account, virtual currency, and unlocked items without refund.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account via the Delete Account page.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a prominent notice within the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with changes, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence, and mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.
